The Favor Union TMR magnetic analog joystick is a repair part designed for the Xbox Series 1914 controller. The module replaces a damaged analog stick and uses the TMR magnetic effect, thanks to which it eliminates typical drift, i.e. spontaneous tilting of the stick in one direction. This manifests itself, among other things, as uncontrolled movement in games or in the console menu, and in extreme cases as no response to tilting in a selected direction.

How the TMR magnetic analog stick works

Instead of classic potentiometers, the module uses the TMR magnetic effect, which converts the movement of the stick into a signal without mechanical wear of resistive tracks. This solution limits the formation of drift and allows repeatability of tilts to be maintained during longer use of the controller.

Installation and requirements

Replacing the module requires basic soldering skills. The analog stick must be soldered at 14 points, so before installation it is worth preparing the appropriate tools and taking care to seat the component precisely on the controller board.

When to replace the analog stick

Replacement of the module is used in the event of controller damage manifested by drift, no response to tilting the stick, or incorrect operation in one of the directions. The new TMR magnetic analog stick restores correct control and movement precision.
