Original DualShock 4 controllers for PlayStation 4 can be divided into two generations:

First generation DualShock 4 (without additional lightbar on touchpad, black buttons and analog sticks) can have one of below versions:

  • JDM-001 - mostly blue boards, 14 PIN USB socket ribbon.
  • JDM-011 - green boards, 12 PIN USB socket ribbon
  • JDM-020 - similar to 011, not shown on the picture
  • JDM-030 - green boards, split conductive tape

Second generation DualShock 4 (Dualshock 4 V2 with additional lightbar and grey buttons and analog sticks):

  • JDM-040 - first revision of 2nd gen controllers
  • JDM-050 / 055 - two twin models
