If your analog is drifting in one direction on its own - we can see this in games or in console's main menu, or even worse - is not working in one of the directions - you may need to replace potentionmeter.

Original potentionmeter V1 10k analog for Xbox One Series. Can also occur in DualShock controllers for PlayStation 4. Potentiometer should be chosen visually (white - V2 or V3, black - V1).

Features:

  • Original ALPS module, same as in controller
  • Size 13mm
  • version V2 (used in  V5, V7 and V12 analogs)
  • pin offset identical as in your controller

SONY Dualshock 4 ad Dualsense potentiometers cannot be checked via model or case, you need to dissassembly pad to check that!

After replacing, analog drifts in one direction. How to solve that problem?

As I mentioned, analog contains 2 potentiometers (coloured element that can be detached) of 10kOhm resistance and 20% tolerance. That means that in effect they have 9-11kOhm resistance. Both potentiometers work as voltage dividers. If the drift occurs after replacing, that means you used analog with another parameters. The perfect solution would be ability to calibrate controllers, as in Nintendo's JoyCons. The simplest solution is measuring the old potetiometer and choosing the one that has closest parameters to old one. We do not measure potentiometers and we are sending them randomly!
